Community Boards

New Community Board appointments announced

This year’s slate of Manhattan’s 12 Community Board appointments include 89 new members–four of them teens–among the 320 total appointees (from a totel of 651 applicants). Following this latest round of appointments, 93 percent of all appointees now live in the district in which they are appointed. See the complete list of Manhattan Community Board members and appointees (by term) here.

If you’ve followed the process at all, you know that Manhattan’s 12 Community Boards are at the epicenter of negotiations and decision-making to improve neighborhoods and shape their future.

It’s exciting that so many New Yorkers want to volunteer their time, energy and skills to help our borough and city (especially the four teens!). Thanks to the Council members for their nominations and my staff for seeing this process to its successful completion!
