Each semester (Fall/Spring/Summer), the Manhattan Borough President’s office hosts high school, undergraduate, and graduate college students to learn the ins and outs of city government. Interns work individually and in groups on a wide range of projects that advance the goals of each unit: Communications, Community Affairs, Policy, and Land Use. Meetings with Borough President Brewer, staff, and other professionals will offer interns additional learning opportunities. Prospective interns must be committed to connecting with and delivering for Manhattan’s diverse neighborhoods, communities, and constituents.
Candidates should submit resumes and cover letters to Debbie Timothy, Internship Coordinator, at email@example.com.
The Manhattan Borough President’s Office has a presence at public events throughout Manhattan year round, but with the warm weather approaching, there is an even greater need for volunteers to staff tables at outdoor events like street fairs and housing development family days. It can be a lot of fun, and since Borough President Brewer strives to attend every street fair and family day, your help in distributing information and listening to constituents will be much appreciated.
Please email Penelope Cox, Special Events Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org to become a volunteer.
