Nov. 18: Lenox Terrace public hearing

The owner of Lenox Terrace in Harlem has applied for a zoning change to facilitate construction of five new buildings—with a total of about 1,600 residential units—one at each corner of the Lenox Terrace complex bounded by Lenox Avenue, W. 132nd St., Fifth Ave., and W. 135th St., plus a fifth building mid-block on W. 135th St.

As part of my office’s official ULURP consideration, I will hold a public hearing on Monday, Nov. 18 at 6 pm at the Kennedy Center within the Lenox Terrace complex. The official address is 34 W. 134th St, but the entrance is mid-block on W. 135th Street between Lenox and Fifth Ave. You may attend and deliver a two-minute statement in person (please bring a written copy of your remarks) or submit written testimony by emailing with “Lenox Testimony” in the subject line by Tuesday, Nov. 19. Please join the discussion and make your voice heard.
