The owner of Lenox Terrace in Harlem has applied for a zoning change to facilitate construction of five new buildings—with a total of about 1,600 residential units—one at each corner of the Lenox Terrace complex bounded by Lenox Avenue, W. 132nd St., Fifth Ave., and W. 135th St., plus a fifth building mid-block on W. 135th St.
As part of my office’s official ULURP consideration, I will hold a public hearing on Monday, Nov. 18 at 6 pm at the Kennedy Center within the Lenox Terrace complex. The official address is 34 W. 134th St, but the entrance is mid-block on W. 135th Street between Lenox and Fifth Ave. You may attend and deliver a two-minute statement in person (please bring a written copy of your remarks) or submit written testimony by emailing info@manhattanbp.nyc.gov with “Lenox Testimony” in the subject line by Tuesday, Nov. 19. Please join the discussion and make your voice heard.
