Constituent Services

The Northern Manhattan Office team oversees constituent services, helping Manhattanites navigate government services and bureaucracy. We can assist you with issues like housing, public benefits, health care, education, immigration, public safety, sanitation, economic development, and other quality-of-life concerns. We act as your frontline ombudsman, coordinating effective and timely response to your requests. Through in-depth case work and specialized assessment, our team helps to ensure quality service delivery and identifies emerging trends that may require a more coordinated response or policy action. We work in partnership with local district stakeholders, officials at all levels of government, block/tenant associations, and nonprofits to resolve constituent concerns. The NMO also assists with planning and implementation of community outreach activities, educational trainings, town hall meetings, and office-sponsored forums, as well as representing the Borough President in key meetings.
