I am reaching out as I am hosting a Back to School Block Fair on Saturday, August 24 from 10 AM to 3 PM on 88th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West. This event is in partnership with the NYPD 24th Precinct, and I’d be thrilled to have your office participate and join us.
The day is all about community; local businesses, organizations, and residents have coming together to support families as the new school year begins. We’ll be giving away nearly 500 fully stocked backpacks to students who need them, and there will be plenty of fun for all ages: bouncy castles, a local barber offering free haircuts for kids, a vintage and sports car showcase from a local club, music from a live DJ, and free popcorn and cotton candy.
Participation is free, and you’re welcome to share information, resources, or giveaways. We just ask that you bring your own table for setup. This is a great opportunity to connect directly with local families, share resources, and be part of a day that celebrates our neighborhood.
