Wondering what to do with your food scraps?
Come join our composting Program! This summer you can drop your food scraps off at DFM’s compost bin. When the compost is ready, we will host free giveaway days where you can come back and take compost for your plants at home.
Here’s how it works:
- Visit museum during open hours to drop off food scraps
- Wait for an announcement about a compost giveaway date
- Pick up compost to use for your own plants
- Repeat!
The museum is open on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12PM-4PM, and on Saturday from 10AM-4PM. Ask a museum staff member to point you in the direction of our compost bin!
