“Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal has appointed a new borough historian.

Harold Holzer, who works as the director of the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College, will help focus on President Abraham Lincoln’s historic presence in Manhattan and commemorating upcoming anniversaries.”

Federal agents detained a Columbia University student Thursday morning at one of the school's residential buildings, acting President Claire Shipman wrote in an email to students. Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal claimed in a social media post that the agents "impersonated NYPD with fake badges and a phony missing persons bulletin for a 5 year old girl."
