The Statue of Liberty is always ready for her close-up but something else has entered the picture.
A federal security fence installed along the waterfront is drawing attention of its own and criticism from residents, visitors, and elected officials.

“You have to look through chicken wire to see Lady Liberty and her shining light,” he said.
