The Schiller Institute NYC Chorus and full orchestra will join with the Japanese Peace Chorus, the Daiku NY Singers to perform Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9 “Ode to Joy,” which has come to represent peace, reconciliation and the brotherhood of mankind throughout the world.
The FDNY Ceremonial Unit will open the program which also includes works by Brahms, Dvorak, Mozart, and Spirituals.
