I am writing to bring to your attention a remarkable individual whose dedication and leadership have made a profound impact on education in our city. Dr. Victor G. Alicea, Founder and President of Boricua College for nearly five decades, has been a driving force in ensuring access to quality education for underserved multicultural populations of New York City. Boricua College was founded in 1974.
On the occasion of Boricua College’s 50th anniversary, and in recognition of Dr. Victor G. Alicea’s extraordinary lifetime achievement, I kindly request your support in formally acknowledging his contributions.  A resolution or proclamation from your esteemed office would not only honor Dr. Alicea’s legacy but also highlight the pivotal role he has played in shaping the future of education in our great city. Ideally, we would be honored to have Manhattan Borough President Levine attend our celebration on May 17, 2024.
