Learning to access the HPD portal system to assist with complaints, violations, litigation, property registration, charges and block information. Learning to access the DOB self-service site for online, permits, appointments, and applications, and follow status of projects. Both great tools.
The virtual Community Board Leadership Training Series provides tools, instruction, and best practices to Community Board Members and interested Manhattanites to learn about their local government processes. The series aims to help new and current Community Board Members increase their knowledge of EEO: Equal Employment Opportunity, COIB: Conflicts of Interest Board, and the skills to Combat Implicit Bias. The series also offers tools and resources to enhance the effectiveness of member engagement in their Community Board work. While the series is designed with Community Board Members in mind, it is open to all Manhattanites interested in local government and public service.
