Join the CCNY LGBTQ+ Student Center for a screening of the queer short film Elijah, followed by a discussion and Q&A with the film’s director and CCNY alum Razid Season! Elijah tells the coming-out story of a second-generation Bengali American navigating his desire to live fully as a man within a transphobic immigrant community. Inspired by a true story, the film has screened widely at festivals across the United States and has earned numerous awards, including:

  • Best Drama Short – 25th Coney Island Film Festival (2025)

  • LGBTQIA+ Image Award – CUNY Film Festival (2025)

  • Outstanding Achievement Award – Massachusetts Independent Film Festival (2025)

  • Audience Choice Award – Phoenix Film Festival (2025)
