public art live gathering & performance organized by Pasha Radetzki studiO at the Small Collect Pond site near his 1/4 wo/man - Lov Couple sculpture in Thomas Paine Park. August 2nd, 3-6pm, performance - 5-6pm, with special guests.
The title Huewomanity combines hue, humanity, and woman to celebrate human diversity while recognizing the often-overlooked role of women in shaping culture and community. An ongoing series of public artworks launched by Radetzki in 2013, Huewomanity explores balanced and nature-connected ways of living. Drawing inspiration from pre-colonial archaeological, mythological, and folk traditions from around the world, the works experiment with gylanic social models rooted in gender-balance, cooperation, and reciprocity rather than domination. Through sculpture, interdisciplinary performance, and public gathering, the series invites participants to reimagine, reconnect, and gather in a more harmonious relationships with one another and with the natural world. Presented as part of NYC Parks' Art In The Parks program, with additional support by the New York Foundation For The Arts, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Entrance.nyc, lov.foundation, Canal St Studios, and friends.
