New Plaza Cinema will showcase acclaimed film ‘Elijah’ made by New York filmmaker Razid Season. The film follows a South Asian Muslim taxi driver in NYC whose views are challenged when he must confront community prejudice to protect his transgender son. It is a curated program of New Plaza Cinema, an independent movie theater that focuses on keeping art cinema culture alive in Upper Manhattan. There will be a post-screening Q&A with director Razid Season.
