Homes with the authors and performers. Prior to the performances, enjoy an open cocktail bar and appetizers, included in the price of your ticket, from 6-7 pm. Cassidy Freeman is a renowned actress best known for her roles on TV series Smallville and The Righteous Gemstones. She has guest-starred on the shows The Vampire Diaries, Once Upon a Time, NCIS, and Longmire.
Carla Gugino is an American actress best known for her roles in the Spy Kids movie trilogy, the films Watchmen and Sin City, and the television series Entourage and Threshold.
Jill McCorkle is the author of seven novels and five collections of short stories. Five of her books have been named New York Times notable books and four of her stories have appeared in Best American Short Stories. McCorkle has received the New England Booksellers Award, the John Dos Passos Prize for Excellence in Literature, the North Carolina Award for Literature, and the Thomas Wolfe Prize; she was recently inducted into the NC Literary Hall of Fame. She has taught at Harvard, Brandeis University, NC State University, and the Bennington Writing Seminars.
Pamela Painter is the author of five story collections, whose stories have appeared in The Atlantic, Five Points, Flash Boulevard, Harper’s, Kenyon Review, Matter Press, New Flash Fiction Review, Ploughshares and SmokeLong Quarterly, among others and in numerous anthologies. Painter was one of three founding editors of the print literary journal, StoryQuarterly, and is one of five Founding Donors of the Flash Fiction Archive, established at the Harry Ransom Center at UC Austin, Texas.
