In Pix11: Manhattan BP calls for more bathroom accessibility in subway stations

Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine is calling on the MTA to make bathrooms in subway stations easier to find.

There are currently 63 subway stations with bathroom accessibility, according to the MTA.

“Access to public bathrooms is an issue of equity, public health, sanitation and transportation,” Levine said. He suggests that the MTA add more signs on platforms and entrances pointing the way toward a restroom.
