Join African Voices and Reel Sisters for an exciting screening of Ladies First: A Story of Women In Hip Hop (Ep.,4, Netflix) co-executive produced by Emmy Award winning producer Crystal Whaley and Black Love Manifesto directed by Liza Jessie Peterson.
CR Capers, founder of the Hip Hop Film Festival, will lead a panel discussion on the impact of women’s contributions to hip hop music and culture. Whaley and Peterson will be joined in conversation with DJ Franchella and Evangeline Lawson, a renowned photographer and image maker!
The event will kick off with poetry performances by reg e gaines and Avery Danae Williams in honor of National Poetry Month.
