Resonance returns October 4–5, 2025, at We Are Here Brooklyn in Bushwick, blending the atmosphere of a night market with the power of live performance. Created by choreographer David Cartahena Lee and Samaw Dance, Resonance highlights Asian American and queer voices through dance, immersive art, and community activation.
The event begins with a curated night market featuring interactive booths, local AAPI+ vendors, and creative partners like Lunar Seltzer. Audiences are invited to participate, connect, and explore. The evening culminates with a performance by Samaw Dance, presenting repertory and new works that celebrate resilience, identity, and chosen family. As one audience member shared, “I was one of the many in the audience that was really moved and teary eyed by the performances.” Tickets and info: HERE
Launched in 2023, Resonance has become a signature platform for AAPI+ and queer stories in New York. This year’s edition is sponsored by the Howard Gilman Foundation, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council, and supported by community partners including Lunar Seltzer and Yobo Soju.
