I share your concern, anger, and frustration about today’s infuriating news on the Supreme Court’s decision to upend abortion rights and yesterday’s decision to overturn New York’s handgun permit requirements.
These dual attacks on our reproductive freedoms and the public safety of New Yorkers are very real and disheartening blows to many of us in Manhattan.
But while we process the jarring idea that our nation’s highest court is facing a crisis of legitimacy, we must continue to mobilize here in Manhattan to stand up for the rights that form the core of our democracy.
